Subfloor adhesive that applies in any season

Floor squeaks come from movement: a panel rubbing on a nail shank where it has lifted off the joist. Subfloor & Deck construction adhesive (LN-902) bonds the subfloor panel to the joist along the full bearing surface, fills the uneven gaps between them and stays flexible under load, so the panel-to-joist connection holds quietly for the life of the floor. Fasteners still go in; the adhesive is what keeps them from working loose.

The extreme-temperature formula guns easily from 20 to 100 degrees F and bonds to wet, frozen, engineered and treated lumber, OSB, plywood, particleboard and wafer board, which is what a framing crew meets in March. It has instant holding power for interior and exterior subfloor, deck and sheathing installation, bridges gaps, and it meets the American Plywood Association AFG-01 specification. The low-VOC, latex-based LN-602 version does the same work with lower solvent for occupied interiors.

Apply a 1/4 in. bead down the center of each joist, lay the panel within the working time, fasten per the panel manufacturer, and let it cure 24 hours before loading. One 28 oz cartridge runs roughly 80 linear feet of joist.

Installation checklist: brush the joists, apply a 1/4 in. bead, lay and fasten the panel immediately, check the next panel's edge, and let the bond build for 24 hours before heavy loads. Foam-based subfloor products need a different gun and set in minutes; our cartridge gives a longer window, which is what most crews prefer.
