Which Liquid Nails to use for your project
We make a specific formula for most of the materials on a job site, which is good for the bond and confusing in the aisle. Find the material or the project below and the tube is next to it.

By material
- Plywood, OSB, particleboard, treated lumber: Heavy Duty (LN-903) or Extreme (LN-907) for framing and sheathing; Subfloor & Deck (LN-902) when it is a floor or a deck.
- Drywall to studs: DWP-24 Drywall or Drywall Advanced; drywall to anything else: Heavy Duty.
- Rigid foam insulation: Projects & Foamboard (LN-604) or Heavy Duty; never a solvent adhesive not labeled foam-safe.
- Brick veneer, stone, concrete: Heavy Duty for interior veneer, Landscape Block (LN-905) outdoors, Fuze*It for stone to metal or glass.
- Metal, glass, tile, mirrors, PVC: Fuze*It (LN-2000, LN-547).
- Plastic or fiberglass shower panels: Tub Surround (LN-715, LN-915) only.
- Wood trim, molding, paneling in a finished room: Paneling & Molding (LN-710) or Interior Projects (LN-704).
- Cracks in concrete or mortar: Concrete & Mortar Repair (CR-805). Roof flashing and leaks: Roof Repair (RR-808).
By project
- Subfloor or deck boards: Subfloor & Deck.
- Hanging a mirror: Fuze*It, vertical beads, clips for 24 hours.
- Baseboard, crown, chair rail: Paneling & Molding, with a few finish nails.
- Wall caps on a retaining wall: Landscape Block.
- Shower surround kit: Tub Surround.
- Tile board in a laundry room: Heavy Duty over a backer, not directly to studs.
- Countertop to cabinets, granite: Ultra Duty polyurethane (LN-950) or Fuze*It.
- Small household repairs: Small Projects (LN-700), Perfect Glue or Fuze*It repair tube.
- Gaps around windows and trim: Super Caulk or Multi-Purpose caulk; glass and metal joints: Clear Seal.
Interior or exterior
Interior and exterior: Heavy Duty, Extreme, Fuze*It, Subfloor & Deck, Landscape Block, Concrete & Mortar Repair, Roof Repair, Ultra Duty, Super Caulk, Clear Seal. Interior only: Interior Projects, Projects & Foamboard, Paneling & Molding, Drywall, Tub Surround. When in doubt, pick the exterior-rated tube; it works inside too.
Size and pack
A 10 oz cartridge runs about 31 linear feet of 1/4 in. bead, a 28 oz cartridge about 88 feet. One 10 oz tube covers a bathroom surround or a room of base molding; a subfloor takes a 28 oz cartridge per 50 square feet or so. Contractor packs of 6, 12, 18 and 24 cost less per tube and keep for a year in a cool, dry truck box.
The short version: Liquid Nails by the numbers
Liquid Nails makes a construction adhesive for the applications that building materials demand: Heavy Duty LN-903 for wood, lumber, drywall, plywood, board and brick veneer, interior and exterior; Extreme LN-907 for extreme weather; Fuze*It LN-2000 for metal, glass and tile; Subfloor & Deck LN-902 for joists; Paneling & Molding LN-710 and Interior Projects LN-704 for low-VOC interior trim; Tub Surround LN-715 for plastic panels; Landscape Block LN-905 for stone and concrete; and the caulks and sealants that finish the job. Coverage per 10 oz cartridge is about 31 linear feet of 1/4 in. bead, the color is printed on the tube, and the GREENGUARD Gold standard marks the low-emission formulas.
Builders and homeowners find Liquid Nails at hardware stores, building centers and lumber yards throughout the United States. Each formula is durable, weather resistant where the label says exterior, formulated with flexibility so it moves with the materials, and designed to deliver exceptional performance with precision on the challenging installing jobs a house produces. Pick by material, then by interior or exterior, then by size.
